sooooo how was your day?

I'm so glad you asked, let me tell you about it. Well it started to go down hill or rather up hill, it was such a roller coaster, when on my way to school, the car over heated. Ever seen the back seat of a cop car?
See picture on rt... Yeah that's about right. cept mine was vinyl, not metal as that appears to be.

Why was I in a cop car? More specifically the back seat? Well...

My car overheated. That in itself is amazing since it was 18 degrees outside! So I pulled over and called Q (my hero!) and he said he would come to get me as soon as he could. However, since it was 18! degrees outside, the nice officer stopped and offered me a ride, he took me to Wal-mart, so I could wait for Q.

I told him I wished I had a camera with me so I could take a picture for my blog... lol

Ok so we're clicking up the hill (the roller coaster silly did you fall off? This ride ain't over yet!) click. click. click. Q came and got me, we drove the car home, and it seamed to be fine, but Q took me to school just in case... He didn't want me to be stranded again. He's so sweet... So I get to school, and go to class, even have a quiz and do pretty good... Yay. Down a hill we go!

Well then up another hill, I had to wait from 12:30 until 2:30 for a ride. That's ok, while I was at Wal-Mart this morning I bought Fireproof! so I just got out my lap top and watched it. Whee! down another hill.

This was a pretty good long hill, as I finished the movie, Q came and got me, and then we went home. As we were pulling up in the drive way, a kid ran out with the phone for Q, a person was on the phone offering him a job. Yay since his current job is dropping down to 3 days a week, another job would be good.

So since it is a nice evening Q took the kids out to the back yard to play some soft ball. Whee! we're having fun! until. You guessed it. Who'd a thunk it? The softball had a homing signal for Juju's nose. Yep ever hear that sickening sound of something solid thunking a melon? Not a good one. So... up the hill we go, off to the emergency room to spend the evening. They basically said they couldn't do anything until the swelling went down so she will have to be checked on Monday. If you look closely you can see her rt side is pretty swollen. She isn't seriously hurt, so Whee! down another hill we go.

However, attempting to get some "fast" food at Captain D's? Not so much. That was an up hill battle. But the final down hill slope was a good one.

I got home and was getting ready to post this and check my email, and low and behold there was another email from someone else offering Q a job! Praise the Lord!

But wait, there's more! I also got an email from the local weather man James Spann that said...

P things I love...

P things I love . Sue at the cotton patch challenged us to leave a comment and she would assign us a letter and we then had to write a list of things starting with that letter that we love.
The letter I was assigned was P so lets see…
The first thing that comes to mind is the Purple People eater… Ok so he doesn’t exist… Remember that song? I love it, I can remember singing it and playing with my friends, the first of my many Christys, Christy Wilson and I used to plat that RECORD and sing and dance to it all the time… lol So I love happy memories.
Parents—thank God for wonderful Godly parents! And thank God for the chance to be parents.
Precious—our little puppy dog. She really is precious… most of the time. Here is a picture I took of her yesterday... she is getting bigger all the time.
Pictures—perhaps this one would be better titled Photography. It is not just the pictures I love but the chance to take them also. I have several pictures floating around in my head, and I have to use my camera (which by the way is named serendipity…) to find and capture these pictures.
Plethora—I love the sound of that word… but yes there are a plethora of things I love, my hubby, my kids, my church, my nieces, my nephews, my friends, my camera, my house, my camera, my computer, my camera, my… do you get the idea I love my camera? Oh and my new lens… too cool.

Editor's note added after initial post... I have to say I love Policemen... One picked me up this morning when I was stranded on the side of the road in 18 degree weather. Praise the Lord for Policemen... Funny that my letter was P. Tell me God doesn't have a since of humor!

See I knew this was tooooo easy, you guys are good! Have I mentioned that I love my new lens? Just wait, I have a harder one coming next week... And two of you were even specific that it was a Daffodil... Those are my favorite flowers... I can recognise them even when they haven't developed a bloom pod yet. Q says I am a Daffodil...

Yes boys and girls it's that time again... This one is easy!

41 years ago today...

41 years ago today was a very important day in my life. No, I wasn't even thought of, I was merely a... well this isn't a biology lesson. Lets just say no I am not that old, I am only 35, 36 on Feb. 17. So what happened 41 years ago? My mom and dad said I do! Awesome stuff. I am thrilled that the legacy I have to offer my children is I have been married 14 almost 15 years. My sister has been married 20 years, my Parents for 41 years, and both my mom's parents, and my dad's parents were married until my papa's died. That is an awesome legacy.

The day of the Disease

Saturday when we went to Suzannah's game (pictures of her later) I just thought that Juliannah had that glazed look in her eyes (as seen in the picture above) and I had a feeling.... Sure enough, a fever set in. So this is how Juju and I spent our Sunday, in bed watching swan princess... On a cool note, this is a picture taken with my new lens. The first one is without the wide angel on, and the second is from the same distance... same exact spot (and she didn't move, she was toooo into the swan princess) with the wide angel lens... cool beans...

So why am I calling today the day of the disease? Juju went to the doc this morning, tested positive for strep throat. At abt 11 the school, nurse called and said Nana was in the office sick, so we went and got her. At 12:15 the school nurse called again... Matt was in the office sick, he just threw up. lol Fun stuff. So far Tym is still at school... so far.

Words... words.

So, several of my friends have chosen a word for the year... You can see their words here, Tami, Aaron, and Deanna... I wanted to choose one too, but none would come to me. I prayed and prayed and listened and listened... I remembered a phrase that I had heard a pastor say back before the beginning of the year, he said that he was believing for Unexpected Opportunities... I liked it, and it kept coming back to me, but I was looking for a word, and not a phrase... Then I realized hey, I am different anyway... Might as well have a phrase as a word, so here is my word... or words. I am believing for Unexpected Opportunity's! Here is a picture of an unexpected opportunity... a patch of daffodils growing in the middle of the Forrest, and daffodils are my favorite flower!... Do you have a word? A Phrase? Has God already showed you a theme for this year?

25 random facts about me.

1. I love Jesus! without him I am nothing. NOTHING.
2. I absolutely adore Quintin L. Auten. Sure he has his faults... but I choose to ignore them, He is the absolute best, most wonderful, adorable, kind, loving, Godly, did I mention wonderful, man alive. I love him more today than I did 15 years ago.
3. I am grateful for my 5 adorable kids. (sorry Sam, get adopted at 20, you become adorable...)
4. We are the pastors of the BEST church in the world! Shelby Christian Fellowship Assembly Of God.
5. We live in a double wide. Hick it may be, but it has nice hardwood floors, and 5 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, so make fun of me if you want I love my house. We call it the Big House.
6. The reason we call it the Big House is two fold, every place we have lived in has been nick named,
7. and we moved into the Big House from the Sardine Can… 7 people living in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom single wide.
8. We have been married for 15 years on May 20th.

Have I mentioned that I love my new lens?

It is totally totally awesome... This darling puppy won't stay still for two Seconds and yet I got this Awesome shot!!! It's easy to see why we named her precious. Awww I just heard an awesome quote... "A mother is only as happy as her saddest child." It is true a mother's heart never stops loving her kids. All five of em.

Here is what I am...

I declaire a winner!! Angela Roberts... She came the closest. It isn't quite snow flakes on my car, but it is ice crystals on my car winshield... Frost... Frozen Beer Aaron? how would I know what Beer looks like? lol Too funny. Suzannah was close.

I asked her how she guessed it and she said... cool - glad I could do something right today
just looked like that to me. reminded me of the stuff on my car on Friday. But frost didn't seem right for that far north so...guessed snow.
plus the closeup was kind of snow shaped if it'd been completely focused.
the gold color on the bottom pic made me think of car paint - but the top pic wasn't gold so I wondered if it was reflection.
