One of my first book reviews!

This is an email I recieved from a local christian bookstore!

Dearest DaNella,

My God has given you a great gift.I thank God for you...for the profound wisdom He has given you...for the Love He is showing through you. May God's blessings be upon you, always.

Microburst ! A great book of Gods wisdom. I have only read to the26th page, and every page has been so profound. A down to earth wisdom, like Christ used, to bring you to reality. I truly believe that God has used you greatly. I do know of many that could use this book and I pray that God will send them your way. So, I thank you for doing God's work. Juliannah is seven!

Juliannah is seven! For her birthday, we got her a Nintendo DS. We knew that was what she wanted, but we pretended that all we had gotten her was a purse... (see it, a blue jean purse hiding behind daddies back) So when we handed it to her, she opened it, and when she saw the DS... she began to scream!!! She was happy!
We got her Nintendogs.. so she has a pet of her own... Happy Birthday Ju-Ju!!!

Nana's Critter Corner...

This girl can find critters like no one I know. I'm gonna start calling her Ellie Mae, and be glad we don't have "cement pond."

Today she went out on the front porch, and came back in, and said "Can I pick it up?"

I said "Sure if you are brave enough..."

She was. Then she had to introduce it to her hamster, Yasha...

As If that weren't enough, then she found a Caterpillar. Pretty little thing, looked like it had crawled through some loose yarn!

So to top that off, she finally found the kittens our cat had about 5 weeks ago, and decided it needed to meet the Caterpillar... lol Friends for life, I am sure!

Liberty Day in Columbiana!

Sue (peach shirt below) and Larry (next pic) came and enjoyed the fun.

First joyous event of being the Senior pastor at Shelby Christian Fellowship... Putting up the little tent for Liberty day. We had a lot of fun!

We gave away over 300 bottles of water.

Tym and Ann got glow sticks, so they went into the sanctuary with the lights off, and played with the glow sticks. I need to look up my settings on this one, They were moving around, that is why you see the glow stick lines... but they appear frozen. I like this I need to figure out how I did it...
Frankie( <) says it is Billy's> fault, Billy(>) says
"Frankie did it!"

This is Edie's idea of hard work...

Believe or not, this is Dale working.

How do I love thee?

My Que, he can fix anything. He is so awesome. Someone was giving this recliner away, becase it had broken a bolt and wouldn't close all the way. Q brought it home and fixed it. He is totally cool that way. I was just thinking earlier today how much I love him. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO blessed!!
This is what Lizbeth had to say about it...

by Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806-1861)
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

A well deserved rest... I love him.

Btw... Anny is doing good. She also has to do "patch therapy," for a lazy eye... poor little princess!

Update on Juliannah #2

She is doing well. This is a picture of us before we went to the doctor today.
This is while they were removing the cast...
She was ok...

Ok...

Ok...

Then he started wiggling it to open it up...

This was not ok with her...

However, the Nice Thomas the X-ray Tech (Thomas I told you you would be on the Internet tonight) helped her not to cry during the X-ray.

Then the nice Dr Gilbert assured her it was healing nicely which was all good... until he told her they were gonna take the pins out...

This did not make her happy!!!

I said Smile Anny!!! and bless her heart, brave soul... she did.

Until they started to pull...

However... She is resting comfortably tonight, and even starting to move it some with out pain... We're good.

HELP! I need a new Laptop!

See, my laptop is falling apart... literally. The hinge started kinda sticking and finally pulled a panel up as you can see. Don't worry the kid isn't in trouble, I told him to put his finger there to hold it up so you could see how much prayer I need. I use my laptop EVERYDAY, writing, editing pictures.. and of course Blogging!

Pray for me. GHAP (God Has A Plan)

We are the champions my friend... (sorry I was singing.)

My husband and I were just voted in yesterday as the senior pastors at Shelby Christian Fellowship Assembly of God in Columbiana.

It is a small church, but a beautiful one. Here are some pictures I took.

This is inside the foyer, looking up at the chandelier.

I am such a symmetry loving person, I love this foyer... it is mirrored. If you walk in and look forward you see the double doors going in to the hall way in front of the sanctuary, that mirrors the front doors. If you look up, you see the chandelier. The cross you see in this pic, is above the doors going further in. If you were able to see the opposite wall, there is another cross in the sheet rock above the front doors. As you are standing in the foyer, to your right and left, are stairs leading up to the balcony, all perfectly symmetric. God has such a sense of humor, to build this church for us.

Here is a look back, from the hall at the front doors. See the pretty blue accent wall, and nice tile floor...

This is what the front doors look like with my children standing in them... lol

This is a view of the sanctuary, looking down from the balcony. I love the pretty little track lighting, there are sconces to match on the walls where the stairs are. The nifty thing, is the picture on the screen on the wall here is a picture of the church from the outside and I took it, and had just given it to them, after I photoshopped out some pesky power lines.

Then here from the sanctuary you can see the stairs on are on either side going up to the balcony. See the pretty detailing on the rails, It alternates between a patch of dogwood, and a cross. How pretty.

God is awesome to have blessed us with this. We hope to honor Him with this gift.

I should explain why I was singing "We are the Champions" When we mentioned that we were going to "try out" as pastors at this church, a pastor friend of ours made the comment, "Let the beauty Padget begin!" So on Sunday Juliannah said "Did Daddy win?"

Tag! I'm it. Who will be next???

BTW... Yes I took those horse pictures... and edited them together into an eternal game of tag. The brown horses are actually two pictures of one brown horse.

This is my very first tag. I kinda cheated, I tagged myself. It just seamed fun, I hope you will play along.

Rules:

The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about himself or herself. At the end of the post, the player then tags five people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

1. What were you doing ten years ago:
Um lets see... 1998. We were volunteer youth pastors at Lake Alfred Assembly of God in Fl, and we resigned there and took a paid part time position in Clanton Al at Lomax A/G. We had 2/4 kids. 2...Matt was 2 and Nana was 1... the four part, is if you add in my father-in-law who was living with us ( we called him our oldest, he had cancer, and we had to do a lot of care for him) and my brother-in-law who was 15 was living with us, so it was like having 4 kids.
We thought we were hot stuff, Q was getting paid $200.oo a week to be a part time youth pastor... (as if there is such a thing.)

2.Name five things on today's "to do" list:
Sort pictures for a customer
clean kitchen
do laundry
type in more MICROBURSTS!
Cook Lasagna for supper.

3..Things I'd do if I was a Billionaire:
Hmmm... I really am not sure. Probably give all of my books away instead of selling them.

4.Three Bad Habits:
procrastinating
not picking up after myself
confusing "want" with "need"... I NEED a manicure!!!!

5.Five places I've lived:
Lakeland Fl.
Cape Coral Fl.
Clanton AL
Jemison Al
Minooka Al... yeah that is the name of my current community...

6.Five jobs I've had:
Wow, Christian book store
Vet tech
Hostess at a Cracker Barrel (personal favorite, cause that is where I met Q)
Chick-fil-A
Daycare worker

7..Five People I'm Tagging:
Etta
Andi
Aaron
Sharon
Deanna
