Grab What You Can!

My older daughter, Christeonnah (12) had bought some candy, small round tart balls, and she was keeping them in a cracker box. Of course we accused her (just teasing) of trying to hide them from her younger siblings, to which she replied that she was merely “being creative.”
However at one point during the night when she went to reach in the box to get one, it tipped over and began to display a lot of tiny balls on my floor. This alone would have been funny, but since we have hardwood floors, as they scattered they bounced, making a fairly loud noise. It was loud enough that Juliannah (8) in the next room heard it, and she yelled “Spill on isle three; grab what you can!” and proceeded to run into the living room and try to steal all of Nana’s candy!
Too funny, but do you realize that is exactly how we need to be? We need to run to God, seek His presence, and long for His touch. We need to read our bible, and immerse ourselves in Him so deep that we can’t be found. He tells us to be filled to overflowing with His spirit.
Eph 5:18 Don't get drunk on wine, which leads to wild living. Instead, be filled with the Spirit

Have you Met the Muffinator?

When Juju was a baby we realized she was a tough little cookie. She continues to prove it! This was a game to see who was tough enough to "Drink" a happy meal. Juju won!

Beanbag sandwiches and the lessons they teach.

***Lord Jesus I pray right now every visitor to this page will feel drawn to you and your love.
Did you know Jesus Christ died on a cross to forgive you of your sins? More than that did you know He loves you? Did you know when He died on the cross H e did it for you? No, I mean you. YOU. Some of you have asked about my photography business, so here is a short explanation of how I got interested in photography.

I love pictures. I simply love them. They bring back so many wonderful memories.

I remember when I was about six, and I was on a joyous visit to my Aunt and Uncle's house. I thought it would be such fun! It didn't matter that there were no kids my age to play with, I was certain that my sister who is four years older than me, and my cousin who is two years older than her, would play with me. Well I was right, but they didn't have the same kind of fun in mind that I did. They tied me up gagged me, and shoved me in between two beanbags...

As if that were not enough, instead of rescuing me, Uncle Jimmy yelled "Be still, Let me get my camera!" That is probably the moment I learned a very important principal. Don't cry over split milk, take a picture of it!

Being a good student, I took this lesson to heart, hence the second photo on the right.

Juliannah, also the youngest, became the victim of her youngest older brother, and her older sister. They overpowered her and tied her up with electrical tape. However, if you look closely you will see the sparkle in her eyes... She loved every minute of it. I am so glad that memory lives in me. Let me help you preserve some.

Terry and Shannon torturing poor little INNOCENT me!
Some things never change. Different children, same story. A living memory.

My Juju Bean...

My Juju bean is a trip. She is such a character. She has a style all her own. She is a princess through and through. Here is a Microburst in her honor.

An Old Princess

Juliannah is four, and already has a very active imagination. She is obsessed with being a princess. A couple of months ago, she came up to me and said, “My name is Cinderella!”

To which I replied, “Oh it is, is it?”

She promptly responded, “Yes, but you can call me Cindy for short!”

That Princess mindset has permeated her very being. It is so much a part of her thinking that it has spilled over into almost every area of her life. The other day she had a long handled wooden spoon that she was using like a cane. She came hobbling through the dining room at Grammy’s. I wanted to know what she was thinking, so I asked her what she was doing.

Without hesitation, she answered, “I am an old Princess.” She wasn’t just an old person, she was an old princess.

Do we really realize that we are Royalty? We are children of The King.

Certainly all who are guided by Gods spirit are Gods children.

Hmm, Little Miss Muffet, a Spider and a Peach Cake?

Well, sometimes you just gotta fit the story to the pictures... This is just Juliannah. She is just a little princess all the time, so she has to find creative ways to express it. At first I thought she looked like little red robin hood, but well the next picture sorta decided on calling her Miss Muffet.

What you see here is a HUGE spider. What you don't see, is that I am inside while he is outside, and on top of that, I am 4 feet away using my wonderful macro lens... Ah I love my camera. It's name is Serendipity. Yes my camera has a name. It means finding fortunate discoveries by accident. My camera helps me make discoveries all the time. I love my camera.
As for the final part of the title, Sam made a wonderful peach cake yesterday. She used a can of peaches instead of water, in the mix, so it was very very moist, and then mixed a can of peaches with some confectioner sugar to make a topping. Was DELISH!!!

Shout out to Cinderella

My darling Juliannah is a blonde among blondes... She has her moments. However, even when she is a little daffy, she is brilliant. She got her name mentioned three times in this weeks news letter from her class. One for bringing the most box tops (thanks to Grammy), another for staying on blue (the best behaviour color) all week, and thirdly and most important, for having an A average in AR for the entire year!
You go Cindy.
Story behind that one, when Juliannah was about four she told me she had decided to change her name to Cinderella, but I could call her Cindy for short... lol I love the girl.
