Three Glass Shelves
God is so awesome; He gives us things we don’t even need, just special things because He loves us so much.
Poppie worked at the same place for 30 years. They rewarded his faithfulness by giving him a six-foot tall grandfather clock with a curio cabinet in it. Inside the curio cabinet were three glass shelves.
When he passed away, he left this beautiful clock to us. So, of course, we treasured it, and when we decided to move from
The glass shelves were one of the last things I packed. I wasn’t sure how to best protect them. I was afraid that if I put them in a box that it could be thrown around causing them to break. Finally, at the last moment, I wrapped them in some foam sheets and placed them in a clothes basket in the back of the truck. I thought... We won’t open the truck again until we get to
To make a very long story shorter, five days, three trucks, two trans-loads (a trans- load is when you transfer the contents of one truck to another), and an empty gas tank later, we arrived in
Unfortunately, we had “help” with our first trans-load, and they weren’t very careful with our stuff. Someone grabbed the foam thinking it was just extra and tossed it. It shattered my shelves. I was so sad. I personally cleaned up all of the little pieces. Nevertheless, we did not lose our witness; we were nice. Through it all, the entire nightmare, we kept a good attitude.
When we finally got to
When we got to the last box to unpack, Que reached in and pulled out something wrapped in foam, then he turned white as a ghost and yelled, “DaNella, you have got to come see this!”
When he un-wrapped it, we both had to sit down. Neither one of us had put them in a box, and both of us had picked up the tiny glass pieces; yet, there in the box, wrapped in foam, God had placed, for us, three glass shelves.
Keep in mind that the LORD your God is the only God. He is a faithful God, who keeps his promise and is merciful to thousands of generations of those who love him and obey his commands.

The Ultimate Day By Day Planner
The other day we were working on the deck at the new house. Since I have been married to Q for almost 15 years now, I know him. I know his trends. I watched him, and picked up a pattern he was going by to build the deck, putting in spacer nails, and screwing down the deck boards. After a little while it got to where I was handing him things before he even asked for them. He looked at me and said “Wow you are good you know what I need even before I ask for it. "
Of course that reminded me of our Gracious God. He knows what we have need of even before we ask for it. Have you ever stopped to think about it when those little miracles happen? For you the check appeared in the mail just in time, for God, He prompted the person to send the check a week ago, to get it to you on time. God is so awesome how he plans in advance.
Matthew 6:8 b Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
